hope

I believe that all people deserve the same basic human rights.

I believe in a woman’s right to make all decisions about her own body.

I believe in the right to express oneself through gender and sexual orientation.

I believe in every person’s right to love who they choose to love.

I believe that everyone should have the right to live free from gun violence.

I believe in hope over fear.

I believe that the laws of our nation should apply to everyone equally, and that no one person should be above the law.

I believe this earth is our sacred home, and that we have the responsibility to take care of her…for ourselves, for the other species we share the earth with, and for all future generations.

I believe that we can use our intelligence to find ways to drastically reduce pollution and slow climate change.

I believe we should (as Ruth Bader Ginsburg said), ‘be able to disagree without being disagreeable.’

I believe in curiosity before judgment.

I believe in kindness over hate.

I believe in hope over despair.

I believe that complexity and our diversity are among our greatest superpowers.

I believe that the truth isn’t black or white, but often gray.

I believe that more than one thing can be true at the same time.

I believe in listening to each other and asking questions.

I believe in listening to your inner voice.

I believe in being yourself.

I believe in speaking your truth, even when it feels inconvenient or unpopular.

I believe in hope.

I believe in hope.

I believe in hope.
